I want to express our thanks to you who made this happen

In the hustle and bustle of things, I haven’t yet written to thank you for everything you did. Dina’s decision to come to Israel and the quick transfer all went so smoothly that we hardly paid attention to what a miracle it was. Now that I think of it, it is a most amazing thing, and I’m deeply grateful that you made it possible for Dina to get to Israel and enjoy some quality time. Although Dina suffers a lot of pain, she is still strong and alert and we try to go out as much as possible. Yesterday she was in town to celebrate Yom Yerushalaim, she has gone to the Kotel with MDA, we’ve gone out a number of times to eat and we even went for some ceramics painting last week. We visit Dina as much as possible and she has many visitors from outside the family too.

The adjustment is not easy, and as you know well, a hospice is a challenging place to stay for a younger person, but on the other hand, Dina appreciates the ability to handle pain immediately and the flexibility of the routines.

I want to express our thanks to you who made this happen, to Cees and the Dutch Wish Ambulance for taking a personal interest, and to all that helped carry out Dina’s wish. Every day she tells me “this is what I’ve dreamed of for many years, and now it’s happened”.

If there was a stronger word, I would use it, but all I can say is the insufficient THANK YOU.

Noomi
